This house is to be believed it was the inspiration for The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.It has been said that this house was used for parties of the rich and famous of the 1920s. It has also been said that Fitzgerald used to go to these parties and watch the glamourous lives of the wealthy and was the inspiration for the book in 1925.
It is sadder to find the past again and find it inadequate to the present than it is to have it elude you and remain forever a harmonious conception of memory.
